the POD LOUNGE
We recently had the pleasure of designing a podcast lounge for 123Dentist, a leading dental organization. The podcast, Smile Talks: Conversations in Dentistry and Beyond, needed a dedicated space where the host and guests could engage in deep, meaningful conversations. Our team was given full creative autonomy, and we embraced the challenge of creating a moody, vibey atmosphere that would inspire and relax.
The first concern to address was the suboptimal sound quality. The oddly-shaped space worked in our favour as we layered a trio of vintage rugs- not only adding texture and warmth but significantly enhancing sound absorption. We also replaced the T-bar ceiling tiles with acoustic tiles, earning us a thumbs-up from the sound producer.
To set the perfect tone, we painted the entire room in a deep, rich navy, moving away from the corporate feel and creating a relaxed, conversational atmosphere. One of our favorite features is the custom art wall, with pieces carefully selected to give the space a cool, laid-back vibe, encouraging open dialogue and creativity.
The result is a stylish yet functional podcast lounge, the perfect backdrop for conversations to thrive.
